From Narita International Airport to Kyoto Brighton Hotel

Easiest and fastest way to Kyoto would be taking the Narita Express to Tokyo Station and transfer to the Shinkansen (Bullet train) to Kyoto station.

Narita International Airport to Tokyo Station (Japan Railways:JR)

Between Narita and Tokyo:

• Time: Approximately 60 minutes
• Frequency: Every 30 minutes
• Reservation: Required
• Fare: Around 2,940 yen including seat reservation

Between Tokyo and Kyoto:

• Train: Shinkansen (Nozomi)
• Time: 2 hour 15-22 minutes
• Frequency: 4 to 6 trains per hour
• Reservation: recommended
• Fare: Around 14,000 yen

From Kansai International Airport to your accommodation in Kyoto

From Kansai International Airport to Kyoto Station

By Train

• Train: Airport Express “Haruka”
• Time: Approx. 80 minutes
• Frequency: 3 to 5 trains per hour
• Reservation: recommended
• Fare: Around 3,690 yen including seat reservation

By Bus

• Bus: Airport Limousine
• Time: Approx. 100 minutes
• Frequency: 1 to 2 buses per hour
• Reservation: required
• Fare: Around 2,300 yen including seat reservation

The best and fastest way to get to Kyoto from the airport is to buy a one-day JR West Kansai Area Pass and take the Haruka (non-reserved tickets only). The Haruka takes about 75 minutes, with trains leaving every half hour. The pass is for foreigners only and costs ¥2,000, which is ¥980 less than a regular Haruka ticket from the airport to Kyoto. You will need to show your passport when purchasing a ticket.

By Taxi/ 15 min. from JR Kyoto Station (Fare: Around 1,500 yen)

Free Shuttle Bus/ The shuttle leaves Kyoto Brighton Hotel at 10, 30 and 50 min. past the hour and returns from Karasuma-Oike subway station (Bus stop/Exit.1) on the hour and at 20 and 40 min. past the hour.

On Foot/ 8 min. from Imadegawa Station (Karasuma Subway line)
