Sponsorship and Participation in The Eighth International Conference on Hyaluronan PDF Print E-mail

The Eighth International Conference on Hyaluronan (Hyaluronan 2010) will be sponsored by the International Society for Hyaluronan Sciences. The conference will take place in the Kyoto Brighton Hotel, in the beautiful, historic city Kyoto, Japan at the end of Spring, June 6-11, 2010. Enclosed is a copy of the latest announcement (please post on your bulletin boards). A list of the Conference organizers and an outline of the Program are also included below. The final program is being planned now and will be posted on the Society website.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the conference, to encourage you to participate, to offer the opportunity to exhibit your products at the conference, and to request that you facilitate the success of the meeting by making a financial as well as scientific contribution.

Unfortunately, the Conference registration fees will not cover all of the conference expenses. Therefore, we are asking for your generous contribution to support our efforts to bring together the top experts in the field and the younger generation of scientists to make this Conference an important educational event as well. The contribution will be acknowledged as a tax-deductible donation for educational purposes, as well as in prominent announcements in the final program booklet during the Conference, and on the Society website.

If you can contribute, we ask you to consider the following choices:

  4. Gold sponsor: $20,000 + (3 complimentary registrations and exhibit space)
  5. Platinum sponsor: $50,000 and above (4 complimentary registrations and exhibit space)

All sponsors, including fellowship support, will be listed in the program booklet and acknowledged from the floor at the conference.

Your company may also consider sponsoring one, or part of one, of the three planned events; the welcome reception, banquet and/or the planned excursion. These sponsorship amounts are outlined on the attached Sponsorship Form.

We also ask for your participation as an exhibitor of your current and future hyaluronan products. Each exhibitor will receive a six foot display table unless you are using your company’s pre-fabricated exhibit, which cannot exceed the size of the display table (see dimensions listed on enclosed Exhibitor Information Form).

The details of the scientific program has not been determined at this time, but there will be four afternoon sessions (June 7, 8, 10, 11) devoted to the Therapeutic Applications of hyaluronan.

We urge you to submit abstracts by February 26, 2010, for the poster sessions. The Program committee will select some of the posters for podium presentations as short lectures. This is particularly helpful in fulfilling our objective of integrating industrial research with basic and clinical research.

Accommodations have been arranged at the Kyoto Brighton Hotel as well as several rooms at the Kyoto Garden Palace Hotel, but please make your reservations as soon as possible since Kyoto is a very attractive tourist destination in the Spring. For further details on the conference (registration, submission of abstracts, hotel reservations, etc.) please visit the conference website. We will keep you informed of new conference information in future emails. If you have further questions, please contact either one of us at the addresses below.

We extend this invitation to you with the hope that your organization will be fully represented at the Conference and will generously support it.

Sincerely,

Koji Kimata, Ph.D. , Conference Organizer

Masaki Yanagishita, M.D. , Conference Organizer
